I LIKE TO LISTEN TO THE MUSIC (Erik Sentosa – 10203073)

I like to listen to the music. I set my mood by listening to the music. Since I realize that mood affects ability to focus, I do think music is very basic. I usually put some songs with same BPM (beat per minute) rate in a playlist. It gives continuity between two different tracks. I also turn the “shuffle” mode on. This random mode keeps me out of boredom that I used to feel in using CD player.

Basically I choose several genres like trip-hop, easy-electronics and pop to ease up my mind. Some singles by Daft Punk or Lenny Kravitz could ease up my mind but still gives energy to do my routines. I usually listen to these songs when switching to easier activity. However I don’t get the same vibes when listening to Coldplay or Five for Fighting. Their songs are most likely tranquilizing, which I only listen when I got nothing important to do.

As what I do when easing up my mind, when I need energy, I put several upbeat tracks in my playlist. Rocks never fail in keeping me sharp. Gym Class Heroes, Jay Kay and Fall Out Boys are in my playlist these days. /RIF and The Fly are local bands who are in. These bands tend to make me act more aggressively. I have to let the energy flowing without losing control in doing my works.
